Symphony Care Network is Limiting Visitation to Illinois and Indiana Facilities Beginning 03/09/2020

The elderly and those with underlying health conditions are at heightened risk of severe health complications when exposed to the COVID-19 virus. Knowing this, we join with the majority of nursing homes in our region in restricting visitation at this time. Following the most recent directions put forth by the Illinois Department of Public Health, visitation to Illinois and Indiana Symphony Care Network facilities will be temporarily restricted beginning March 9th, until further notice. Of course, extenuating circumstances will be taken into consideration, and any visitor who does enter a Symphony facility will undergo a health survey and screening prior to admittance. No visitor will be allowed entry who exhibits flu-like symptoms, or who has traveled to an affected area within the previous 14 days.

While it pains us, we must take these steps in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to our guests, care providers, and among our wider community. So that families have needed reassurance and can remain in contact, we are providing additional access to telephones and tablets for communication and video conferencing.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our supportive community, our guests, their loved ones, and our care providers as we work through this challenge together. As this is a rapidly developing healthcare concern, we will continue to provide updates and information as more becomes known to us.

Please contact Moshe Pretter at 224-935-2901 with any additional questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Symphony Care Network
